2015 opened with a Literary Lunch with the headline speaker the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen.
Among the many events during the week-long Festival, Call My Wine Bluff pitted 6 different wines against 3 ‘experts’. The Leeds Symphony Orchestra entertained with some classics, including Mozart’s Magic Flute and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances.
There was a luscious lunchtime where Chef Graham demonstrated a 3-course meal. The St Aidan’s Swing Band rocked a packed audience in the aisles. There was an Antiques evening, a Dog Show, a talk by the British Library, and a visiting Theatre troupe.
The Scrabble afternoon served up the most scrumptious afternoon tea and the Festival rounded off with a Beatles tribute band ‘Beatles for Sale‘.
