Support from Wetherby Town Council

The start of the 10-day Festival on Friday, 30 September is rapidly approaching. As always when putting on such a wide and varied programme, there are substantial financial costs involved – hire of rooms, paying performers, renting technical equipment including sound systems, lighting etc. The Festival Committee therefore greatly appreciates the financial support given by all our sponsors.

On 9th August, the Festival Chairman, Robert Haskins met with the Town Mayor, Councillor Neil O’Byrne to receive a cheque for a £250 kindly donated by Wetherby Town Council.

Robert Haskins said:

The wholehearted support of Wetherby Town Council for the Festival is most welcome. My thanks to the Town Mayor and his colleagues for their kind donation. We have super programme lined up and are looking forward to a great Festival.”

Councillor O’Byrne said:

Although things had to be done differently last year, I’m really looking forward to the Festival getting back to normal and attending a variety of different events in both an official and non-official capacity.
The festival offers a programme that brings people together in a multitude of venues across a broad spectrum of the arts and that’s why the Town Council felt it so important to make a financial contribution again this year.
