September Nearly There Newsletter
WETHERBY FESTIVAL!
4-12th OCTOBER!
Welcome to September’s (we're nearly there) Festival Newsletter
Our 46th Wetherby Festival starts on FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER and runs until 12th OCTOBER.
Ticket sales are looking good and will now pick up as we realise it’s almost October (some events are sold out or close so get a move on!). You can do this on-line or we will have a ticket desk outside of Morrison's towards the end of the month. Avoid the last-minute-dot-com rush!
Have you got your tickets yet?
We start this newsletter with a very big thank you to all of our sponsors (who ensure we can do this every year) and then take a breath as we are almost at the start of 10 days of events throughout Wetherby!
We kick off on 3rd October with a display of felt craft all the way from Kazakhstan at the Town Hall which is followed by the Art Exhibition and Workshops at the same venue. Our traditional CALL MY WINE BLUFF is on Friday 4th and then… lots of events!
Oh and 2 small corrections
THE SILVER BAND is now at ST JOSEPH’S, so you know!
THE REGALETTES is now at the Scout Hut, Church Street
We go on until the 11th and then we even get involved in the Wetherby 2000 celebrations on the 12th.
The response to the poetry competition, judged by Ian McMillan, has been wonderful… we have winning presentations at Kemps Bookstore, Wetherby on 12th October at 14.30.
To see all of the events in a packed programme please go to the full event schedule and ticket-buying facility at wetherbyfestival.co.uk (or at the aforementioned Box Office outside Morrison's for those of you who prefer physical tickets).
Don’t forget, the Festival is run totally by volunteers, so if you’d like to help, please get in touch.
DON’T MISS OUT! SEE YOU THERE!!!
