WETHERBY FESTIVAL!
WETHERBY FESTIVAL 2024 …WOW!!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s Festival, including all of our sponsors (who ensure we can do this every year). It went without a glitch (apart from projector bulb problems at the Liquid Eden event, initially!) and sales numbers were significantly up from last year (and last year was very good!) and feedback has been excellent.
We went from 3rd to 11th October and whilst we would like to highlight our, erm, highlights it really was ALL very good and everything well attended. Weetwood Mac, drew the biggest crowd but The Regalettes wowed the audience, Reno Sparks sold out (as did the Literary Lunch and Call My Wine Bluff), Wetherby Cinema hosted 3 brilliant films, The Leeds Symphony Orchestra was outstanding and… well, we could go on.
The brand new poetry competition, judged by Ian McMillan, was a resounding success with over 200 entries and a lovely afternoon of performances and prize giving at Kemps Bookstore.
So, what about next year? Oh, we have some plans. Keep in touch, join us on Facebook and Instagram, become a member or volunteer to help, it’s fun!
Thanks for your support… see you next year!!
